MANILA, Philippines – Filipino-American rapper apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas is visiting Cagayan de Oro City on Friday to attend the ground-breaking ceremonies of the newly-erected campus building of Balulang Elementary School, a beneficiary of the entertainer’s advocacyReplica Watches
project on Philippine education.
The two-storey building will house four new classrooms for the school in Barangay Balulang, Cagayan de Oro.
Apl.de.ap, Allan Pineda Lindo, Jr. in real life, had chosen the school as a beneficiary of the funds raised by the “We Can Be Anything” (WCBA) education advocacy, after the campus suffered heavy losses following the massive floods brought by Typhoon Sendong in December last year.
Ten of the school’s 27 classrooms, including its science laboratory, were damaged beyond repair due to the floods.
“We Can Be Anything” is a partnership between the apl.de.ap Foundation and the Ninoy and Cory Aquino Foundation, and was launched in October 2011.
